The National Auto Award has officially announced the launch of its 14th edition for 2026, introducing major structural enhancements to its award categories and nomination criteria in response to the rapid transformation of the automotive sector both globally and within the Kingdom. Organized by PR Arabia, this year’s edition reflects a strategic evolution aligned with the accelerating shift toward sustainability, electric mobility, and advanced automotive technologies.
As part of this transformation, the Organizing Committee has introduced dedicated award categories for electric vehicles and next-generation technologies, while revising or discontinuing several traditional categories to better reflect current market dynamics. The announcement has already generated strong momentum across the industry, with automotive dealers and regional headquarters of leading electric vehicle brands swiftly submitting their nominations to compete within this fast-growing segment.
The 2026 edition is supported by the National Committee for Automotive Dealers, the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, and GB Auto Leasing Finance Company as the Official Partner. The Committee also reported a significant 39 percent increase in campaign followers compared to previous editions, highlighting growing public engagement and reinforcing confidence in the Award’s transparency, credibility, and expanding educational role within the Kingdom’s automotive ecosystem.
Commenting on the upcoming edition, Mr
Walid Karanouh, Secretary-General of the National Auto Award, stated: “The Saudi automotive market is entering one of its most dynamic phases. We anticipate launching more than 60 new models across various segments in 2026, most of which will be eligible to compete. To ensure the highest standards of credibility and excellence, a panel of distinguished industry experts will be appointed to oversee the final nomination selection process.”
Now in its 14th year, the National Auto Award continues to position itself as a key platform for fostering innovation, elevating quality standards, and strengthening the competitiveness of automotive dealers in the Kingdom. By encouraging excellence across the sector, the Award ultimately enhances the customer experience and supports investor confidence.
The nomination phase for the new categories will commence in mid-April 2026, followed by the finalist selection stage in July, with the official closing ceremony and announcement of results scheduled for November 2026.
