Dubai, UAE, 25 November 2024: Eurowings, the value airline of the Lufthansa Group, is pleased to announce a significant expansion of its network as part of its 2024/25 winter schedule. This includes increased flights to Dubai and the introduction of new routes to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Cairo, Egypt, strengthening connectivity between Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Building on the strong performance of its Dubai services, Eurowings will double its flight frequencies from Germany this winter. Passengers can enjoy daily flights from Berlin to Dubai and up to four weekly flights from Stuttgart. Additionally, Cologne-Bonn has been added as a new departure point to Dubai, with three flights per week now available.
In a strategic move to enhance its presence in the MENA region, Eurowings will launch three weekly flights from both Berlin and Cologne-Bonn to Jeddah. Known as a key gateway for Islamic pilgrimages, Jeddah is a vibrant city catering to both leisure and religious travelers.
Eurowings is also extending its reach into Egypt with two weekly flights from Düsseldorf to Cairo. This inaugural service connects travelers to Egypt’s historic capital, a city famed for its cultural richness, bustling markets, and iconic landmarks.
Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, remarked:
“The expansion of our services to Dubai, along with the new routes to Jeddah and Cairo, highlights our commitment to growing in the region. These routes cater to increasing travel demand while fulfilling our mission to connect Europe with key cultural and economic hubs worldwide.”
Eurowings ensures an efficient and sustainable travel experience, deploying state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo aircraft on these routes. With a focus on sustainability and outstanding service, the airline continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in leisure travel.
